Life of Syrian Refugees
About three years ago, Syria began to be torn apart. Syrians started demanding democratic and economic reforms from the government of Basher al Assad, and instead of that they got a civil war that turned cities to dust. People escaped and were forced to leave Syria and move to refugee camps in other countries. Families tried to get everything they needed like food, blankets, passports, etc. In the temporary rooms at the refugee camps they will have mud floors and makeshift living areas they call "home".
At the refugee camps, children can take karate class and may go to class to learn to read and write. Syrians can also get haircuts and get married at these camps. Refugees try to live as normal of a life as they can, but it is very difficult. Many of them have come to Turkey seeking help. It is important to remember that Refugees are people, just like us and are important citizens of the world that we must take care of.
