An Armenian Side of Things

My story is about an Armenian woman who lived in Istanbul, Turkey for 10 years. She found a job as a housekeeper. The reason she moved to Turkey was because she had to take care of her family. Sadly, she lost her job and she had no one to help her.

Later, she wrote a letter to the Red Crescent (Red Cross) in Ankara, Turkey. When the people at the job saw the letter, they had no idea what to do. So they planned a brunch with the boss to interview the lady. After the interview, she met one of her friends who worked there and they decided to help her out.

The lady got money from the people who worked at the job and she slept at a hotel for a week, free of charge. Shortly after that, she got bad news saying that she could not get a job because she was over age, despite the fact that she needed the job to support her family.

Similar situations like this take place every day, all over the world. GET INVOLVED AND HELP REFUGEES TODAY!
