The Story of Nikki and Donya
Nikki and Donya are two sisters from Iran. They left Iran because they didn't have freedom of speech, clothes and religion. From Iran they decided to go to Armenia with their family. Then they converted their religion from Muslim to Christianity. They had a hard time there. They were persecuted. After a long time they came to Turkey. They went to the police and had interviews. Here they found assistance from a lot of people. Now they have a place to stay, their parents can work and most importantly Nikki and Donya go to school and they have friends from all over the world. The UNHCR together with people from the U.S embassy are helping them a lot. In the near future, Nikki and Donya and their family will move to the U.S. and eventually become American citizens. Life will be a lot better soon!
